10. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
While the Call of Duty franchise has been held responsible for the intellectual murder of the videogame market, Ill come right out and say the first Modern Warfare carried off its narrative with real elegance and even managed some moments of profundity. Not so with this towering pillar of thick. The plot of Modern Warfare 2 sounds like the product of a McCarthy-era Republican scribbling the contents of their diseased brain on the back of a George Bush campaign flyer. Russian Ultranationalist figurehead Imran Zakhaev is made a martyr in his homeland following his death in the previous game, leading the psychopathic terrorist Makarov to take advantage of public hysteria by shooting up a Russian airport and framing an undercover American agent, resulting in international conflict. BUT it turns out the
real baddie is an American General named Shepherd whos determined to plunge Russia and the U.S. into World War III becausehesthe baddie? Sorry, you lost me.
