7. Joe Dempsie (Gendry) - Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Arbert)

A firm fan-favourite thanks to finally returning better than ever in season 7, Joe Dempsie seems to have spent his downtime helping out Square Enix as one of the Warriors of Darkness, Arbert.

Many fans on both sides of the Thrones/Fantasy divide missed this, simply because FF XIV remains one of the most underplayed of the entire canon. Representing Square Enix taking another stab at turning Final Fantasy into an MMO, A Realm Reborn was a damn sight more cohesive than FF XI, yet it couldn't reign in those who just wanted another epic, single player instalment.

As for Dempsie, he's given a much bigger role as one of the main cast, than the bit-part he enjoyed in Thrones. Really offering something different from the "everyone's best friend" personality of Gendry, Arbert is a powerful force to be reckoned with; one who mixes confidence and determination with the occasional kink in the armour that rounds him off perfectly.
