Ubisoft are currently regaining their footing after being gut-punched by every press outlet around the globe (and here) for releasing Assassin's Creed: Unity in a truly unfinished state, but it's easy to forget they also gave us a couple of really gorgeous titles alongside these larger efforts. Child of Light got the most attention thanks to a really luscious art style that looked like a collection of watercolour paintings come to life, and although it is is a pretty solid RPG, Valiant Hearts' animated tale of four souls bound together amidst the first World War needs more attention. Mainly an environment-based puzzler, you'll also get some really touching character moments and a truly unique portrayal of wartime seen through the eyes of your characters on all sides of the conflict. It can occasionally be a bit off-kilter with some slapstick-tinged humour, but the overall feeling is a game that treats its subject matter with respect. As you can access some archives detailing the events and motivations of everything going down, you might come away learning something too.
