7. Entwined
Metacritic Score: 59 Experimental "art" games aren't exactly for everyone, but they do have a clear appeal: they're usually short, not especially difficult and gorgeous to behold, three descriptors which suit this indie rhythm game perfectly. Though critics complained that it was too short and not substantial enough, Entwined was a relaxing, trippy journey about two souls who combine to become a majestic beast. There's not much more to the game than using the analog sticks to guide the two characters into coloured segments, but it's an excellent change of pace from the sort of games you're probably used to playing, far away from the stress of yet another military shooter. It's totally uncomplicated, and sometimes rather than a deep, complex story with rich gameplay mechanics, that's exactly what you want.
