The Rumour: With Shenmue III almost certain to be delayed out of 2017, what better way to calm fans down than announce impending remasters for the original two games?

How Likely Is It?: This is extremely believable, especially given the abundance of people who've never had the chance to play these games, and how much it would help next year's marketing push for Shenmue III.

Then again, perhaps there's the worry that it won't be worth the effort, considering the underwhelming sales the original games posted upon release. 6/10
