11. A Shockingly Underwhelming E3
After the last two E3 shows delivered two of the best years in recent memory, especially on the Sony side, this year's line-up just felt rather underwhelming, with many of the conferences running shorter than usual and lacking those "megaton" announcements fans both love and expect at this point.
Yes, Metroid Prime 4 was finally announced and Beyond Good and Evil 2 was resurrected, but there weren't any truly Earth-shattering reveals, and as such this just felt like a fallow year for the show.
More than anything it's indicative of the current gaming cycle, with industry uncertainty about where the next generation of consoles are heading, with the Xbox One-PS4 generation surely beginning to wind down soon.
