14 Awesome 2017 Video Games You Probably Missed (So Far)

12. Paradigm

Paradigm Game
Jacob Janerka

Likely to end up one of the year's strangest and most provocative releases, Paradigm is an old-school point-and-click adventure game with a decidedly fresh, of-the-moment tone and sense of humour.

Players assume the role of the titular character, a mutant who gets embroiled in some incredibly shady goings-on that involve a candy-vomiting sloth named Olaf. From that brief synopsis alone, you'll probably know if this game for you.

With its delightfully bonkers array of characters, unforgettable atmosphere, hilarious voice acting and welcome meta stabs at the genre, Paradigm is an outrageously entertaining romp for the few hours it lasts, and truly that rarest of games that actually leaves you sad it's over when the credits roll.
