14 Best PlayStation Games Of 2015

12. King's Quest

Although their heart is in the right place, 2015 was the year thousands of gamers finally voiced their displeasure at Telltale Games' seemingly unending rollout of narrative-driven titles. Both sleeper hit Life is Strange and now King's Quest prove just how badly Telltale's game engine is ageing, and it's not until you dive into KQ's far more robust animation style and feel of gameplay that it'll truly hit home. As with all point n' click/adventure games, it's a sense of charm and wonderment that'll paper over any annoyances you may have when it comes to finding out precisely which items will react with each other. King's Quest also has some of the best voice acting in any game, and it plays like a mix of the 3D Broken Sword games with Dragon's Lair's old-school art design made modern. Luckily you'll not get too bogged down and tired of the formula on offer here either, as this all-new King's Quest (the original came out in 1984) is still ongoing, releasing episodically. The first two are available now (with the initial being free on PS Plus if you're reading this in December 2015), so give it a shot. After all, nobody expected The Walking Dead to sink its hooks in so deep back in 2012, right?
