14 Biggest WTF Gaming Moments Of 2014

3. Next-Gen WWE 2K15 Doesn't Really Feel Like It

The Moment: There was much excitement surrounding the release of the first WWE game on new current-gen consoles, as well as the teaming up of mainstay developers Yuke's with 2K's frequent collaborators Visual Concepts. While the graphics looked solid if still somewhat behind the pack, the roster is horribly out-of-date and the game as a whole feels so scaled back. From the lackluster creation modes to the shocking loss of numerous popular match types, WWE 2K15 felt like a major step back in every regard but the graphics, and far from what fans were expecting for the generational leap. Why It's WTF: 2K's other sports games are so great that this one seemed like a slam dunk, but it in fact turned out to be one of the worst-reviewed WWE games in years and years, and rightly so. All the elements seemed to be there for the best entry into the series for maybe even a decade, but Visual Concepts' chance to shine was lost amid what can only be described as either first-time jitters or sheer laziness.
