14 Superhero Video Game Sequels We Desperately Need
6. Iron Man
When you've got a character purpose-built for upgrade trees, projectile attacks and aerial transitions, why the hell have we not seen more Iron Man games? Did yourealise there was onefor IM3, but it was resigned toa phone app?
Let's go back to the first two Iron Man games, back in a time when Marvel were putting a huge amount of effort into attracting people to their existence. IM2 had Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle back on voicing duties, and one Eric Loomis replaced Robert Downey Jnr. in a pretty pitch-perfect way - they were trying, dammit.
Gameplay shot for the heavens but was hampered by a compacted dev cycle, meaning for all the chest-basedlaser attacks and promising flight controls, it just couldn't hold together. The idea of a proper, nice n' shiny Iron Man game would sell by the bucketload, and remains one of the biggest gaps in Marvel's arsenal, especially as he's the twin-face of all the Civil War posters.
