4. Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within

Middle instalments are always the best - taking and refining everything from an original but without the pressure to deliver a finale, in Warrior Within's case that resulted in some already brilliant platforming being supplanted with combat that was both fun and visceral to execute.
Yes, the Prince himself suddenly developed a way more gruff voice and a mid-2000s 'attitude' (the same as Jak II, really), but it didn't get in the way of the action one bit. By streamlining the melee sections that were admittedly fine in the original (but needed some tweaking), it was the only remaining part of this new revamped Prince of Persia formula Ubi were yet to get right.
In doing so, this trilogy - and Warrior Within specifically - crafted a signature feel that still plays incredibly well, yet was inevitably hampered by over-saturation with a 2009 reboot. It's about time for a return now though, wouldn't you say?
