14. Anthem

Bioware are in a bad, bad spot. Not only were they kicked half to death following the disastrous Mass Effect 3, but Andromeda was a pure point n' laugh failure, and then - literally midway through development - Anthem's lead writer Drew Karpyshyn has left the company.

If you don't know ol' Karpers, he was literally key to writing the Mass Effect trilogy, and in particular parts one and two i.e. the best instalments by far. Now with Drew gone, tensions on-high following his departure and the general mood at Bioware being down in the dumps following EA's closure of Visceral, it feels like Anthem is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Bioware of today are but a shell of their former selves, and while they do still have Casey Hudson, it's a shame not to feel more goodwill and confidence towards the project.
