14 Video Games You Won't Believe Are Turning 14 In 2014
8. Chrono Cross (August 15, 2000) Back in 200, you knew a JRPG meant business if it couldn't fit on the standard single CD. With its sprawling plot, massive cast of characters and intricately balanced combat system, there's little wonder that Chrono Cross demanded a double CD release. Thankfully, all these years later and the JRPG genre is still alive and kicking (who can forget the infinitely fun Ni No Kuni?). There can be no denying that Chrono Cross and its predecessor, Chrono Trigger, had a profound impact on the genre. 7. Perfect Dark (May 22, 2000) Before the horrible Perfect Dark Zero, there was the original Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark holds the record of being Gamespot's highest rated first-person shooter game of all time with a near-perfect 9.9/10 - and it's not difficult to see why. Despite its sequel being the game which was supposed to be the flagship title of the Xbox 360 launch, it was Perfect Dark which really made a major leap forward in the graphics department compared to other FPSs of the era. The game also featured some devilishly fiendish A.I. which made the enemies in other games look like they'd had one too many at the pub.
