15 Batman Arkham Series Elements That Would Make Future Films Great
7. The Arkham Knight
When Rocksteady announced that one of the principal characters in Arkham Knight was to be a new character of the same name, there was much speculation as to his identity, as it was widely presumed that it would be an existing character under the helmet rather than a wholly original creation.
Ultimately, the grand reveal was a little disappointing to anybody with the faintest knowledge of comic lore. It became painfully obvious when the hallucinatory Joker made several references to Jason's predicament when he hadn't been featured in the series before, though the presence of Tim Drake as Robin indicated that he must've existed at some point.
However, Todd's 'personal revenge against Batman' scheme, born out of the hatred instilled in him by a year of torture, was an interesting one, even if it did require several billion dollars worth of militia personnel and equipment to concoct. A film adaptation of this would have to have a slow build-up, as Todd would have to exist as Robin for some time for his capture, torture and presumed murder to have any effect, but the pay off would be excellent in showcasing how devastating Batman's actions can affect those close to him.
Interestingly, the Suicide Squad film trailer seems to hint at a Robin already being dead at the start of proceedings. If Dick Grayson isn't featured in this new continuity and the supposedly dead Robin is Todd, then his future inclusion either as the Knight or the Red Hood could already be planned.
