15 Best Moments In Assassin's Creed History
3. "How D'Ya Like Them Apples?"
Say what you will about Assassin’s Creed III, but it wasn’t all bad. Yes, the tea-party mission was kind of a joke. Yes, it was more a history lesson on the American Revolution than it was a game. And yes, Connor was a boring monotone dullard with less emotional capability than that of a teaspoon.
But you can’t tell me that your jaw did not hit the floor when it was revealed you had been playing as the Templars for the first few hours of the game.
Not a single person expected the beginning of the game to be as brilliant as It was. It made us completely forget that Haytham wasn’t the assassin on the cover, it made us completely fall in love with the bad guys and it made us completely astounded as soon as the twist was dropped.
It may have been downhill from then on, but in terms of moments that standout above all else, the Templar reveal is absolutely mind-boggling.
