15 Best Nintendo Switch Games

6. Super Mario Odyssey

Animal Crossing New Horizons
Nintendo

Over the years we’ve had some amazing Mario games, ranging from Mario Kart and Mario Party to the more traditional adventures and stories like Mario 64, alongside the mighty Super Mario Galaxy. Now, a new title has made its way to the list to sit amongst the greats of gaming, and it might be the most unique one yet.

Super Mario Odyssey does what many other Switch games did, taking one of the most formulaic franchises and tossing out half the formula. Prepare yourselves to explore an amazing and realistic 3D overworld where Mario’s own art style looks very out of place, at least in some sections, but it only makes it the more amusing as you traverse cities, using mundane and common everyday objects and features to get to where he needs to go.

As well as his classic abilities like his triple jump, Mario can now roll around like Sonic the Hedgehog and even throw his cap to attack enemies. The exploration potential of this game is insane as almost every obstacle is climbable, and you’ll soon find yourself scaling buildings and dangling from ledges as you embark on your amazing adventure.
