15 Best Video Game Dragons

Whilst the Mario series has its fair share of dragons they don't stand out anywhere near as much as the Ruined Dragon from Super Mario Odyssey, mostly because they feel like they belong in their respective games whilst this dragon feels like something from Dark Souls, not Mario.

The Ruined Dragon encounter is one of the most memorable moments in the entire game. Platforming through the small albeit interesting Ruined Kingdom, with rumours in the kingdom's brochure of something evil living there is weirdly intense for a Mario game and when you finally come face to face with the Ruined Dragon that intensity reaches its peak.

Fighting the dragon is relatively difficult in comparison to previous bosses in the game, it's not that hard but it might take you a couple of tries which can't be said for anything that you fought before this.

Also, the rematch you have against him later on makes the ground slippery and his attacks harder to avoid which brings him to the level of actually hard, not just hard for a Mario title.
