15 Best Video Games Of 2015 (So Far)

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Some games you can just tell are going to be talking about for years to come - and although Witcher's initial release state put a few people off with some bugs and glitches that have since been ironed out, the full game should forever be included next to the definition for 'Jaw-Dropping'. From the absolutely gorgeous world and graphical clout - where the occasional sun flare, dust kicking up around your feet or landscape shot will take your breath away when you least expect it - to the staggering amount of content in everything from character models to dialogue recorded, side-quest design and interconnected consequences from one act to another - Witcher 3 is the true next gen game everyone's been waiting for. The side-quests alone have more weight and purpose to them than entire other games do in their entirety. The character of Geralt is a no-nonsense bounty hunter stuck slap-bang in the middle of a love triangle (something that if you've read the Witcher books or played the previous games, sets up some of the weightiest choices you'll ever experience), and world itself strikes the perfect balance between the impetus to complete the main story, and allowing you the freedom to explore. Where Mass Effect 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight have previously fallen down - by making you feel as though the main task at hand should contextually take priority over any world-exploration - The Witcher soars, and it really can't be emphasised enough how much that contributes to you drinking in every facet of the world around you. There's a good reason Wild Hunt has received the highest ratings of any Witcher title, and has sold more than its predecessors within only a few weeks on sale - it really is that damn good.
