15 Crucial Questions For 2018's Biggest Video Games

12. Is Regenerating Health Permanently Gone? - Call Of Duty 2018

The Question: With this year's Call of Duty: WWII ditching regenerating health in order to make the game more challenging, will it become a franchise precedent from this point, or will 2018's Treyarch-developed title just return to the usual?

The Likely Answer: Considering that Treyarch's new game, perhaps Black Ops IV, probably won't have the same grounded period setting, there won't be the same impetus to keep the game "realistic" and intense, so the regenerating health is likely to be a one-and-done.

It all ultimately depends upon how fans respond to the mechanic in WWII, though, because at least it's something that can be added to or removed from the game with a relative amount of ease.
