15 Enjoyably Dumb Things Gamers Do We Can't Explain

6. Seeing If You Can Shoot Friendly NPCs

Resident Evil 4 Merchant

Everyone€™'s found themselves connecting with a helpful NCP at some point during their gaming career. Whether they've fought with you throughout the entire game or just been there to sell you those essential items, there have been so many titles that have created memorable and distinctive background characters.

However, no matter how helpful or lovable they are, there€™'s only so long you can hold off trying to kill them. Whether it'€™s The Doll in Bloodborne or The Merchant in Resident Evil 4, everyone has decided to test their luck to see if they can harm these essential characters... and then immediately regretted it when things are irrevocably changed.

I don€™t know what people expect, you€™'ve shot or fought your way through hundreds of enemies during the course of the game, yet for some reason you think doing the same thing to these friendly NPCs will lead to a different outcome. But of course it never does, and they just end up a big ol' pile of shame and regret on the ground in front of your horrible, murderous feet.
