15 Games Every 3DS Owner Must Play

14. Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure

To easily and briefly describe this game: think Professor Layton but instead of puzzles you play rhythm games instead. That's exactly what this game is. The game takes place in Paris and you play as an 18 year-old boy called Raphael who loves to steal art under the alias 'Phantom R' and then return it. He's also on the hunt for his father who disappeared around the same time Napoleon's casket was stolen. He also has a cute little dog named Fondue. In terms of gameplay... well it's a rhythm game so you know the drill. You use the stylus, buttons, and sometimes the gyro sensor to complete songs, get high scores, and forward the plot - all while looking at nicely animated cinematics which change depending on how well you're doing. The fully animated cutscenes are also a nice touch and show that the developers went the extra mile to make their game worthwhile... and it is. You can pick it up really cheap now. Plus, it's extremely refreshing to see a new IP on the 3DS.
