15 Greatest Video Game Theme Songs Of All Time

14. Uncharted (Nate's Theme)

One of the only newer characters to be given the full individual treatment across the 2000s, Nathan Drake's absolutely outstanding theme embodies everything about his character. It's a regal call to his adventuring bravado, evolving at first subtly and then more sweepingly as both he and the games would age and mature.

The first two Uncharted themes are mostly the same, whereas the third introduces a bigger brass accompaniment as Nate went on his most epic adventure yet. Uncharted 4 is the misnomer and the one we're all looking forward to, but its a tale of Nate facing retirement and rekindling his youth for 'one last mission', bringing in a sweeping orchestral reimagining of what was once such a vibrant, youthful piece of music.

All in all, a spectacular tune, and that if you didn't immediately remember when seeing the franchise's name, will overwhelm you with nostalgia when it all kicks in.
