15 Horrifying Video Game Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

14. Dying Light €“ Creepy Teddy Bears

There are plenty of haunted dolls and possessed stuffed animals around in films, so it shouldn€™t be a surprise that they€™ve spread across to other media as well. So whilst they can be a bit predictable, that does not mean they aren€™t disturbing. That combination of cute and creepy is usually what makes this trope so successful €“ take this example from 2015€™s Dying Light. In this parkour-based apocalypse game, you can find a suspiciously pink, suspiciously intact teddy bear inside one of the houses. Poking it prompts the bear to exclaim €œI love you!€ in a sing song voice. A little creepy, sure, but nothing dangerous. Keep poking it, however, and it€™s a different story - this is one toy that really doesn€™t like being messed with. If you carry on annoying it, the bear€™s voice will take on an annoyed tone, while its eyes become suspiciously angry €“ telling you to €œStop it!€, €œLeave me alone!€, and finally €œYou asked for it...€. At this point the bear explodes, pretty much killing you. Probably should€™ve listened to it, I suppose.
