15 Hotly-Anticipated Nintendo Switch Games Coming In 2017
9. Splatoon 2
Pretty much the only way to do an attractive online multiplayer shooter on a Nintendo machine (COD and Battlefield require WAY more processing power), Splatoon's paint-splattered charms actually became one of many peoples' Games of the Year in 2016.
Playing as teams of emulsion-throwers by way of rollers or guns full of the stuff, Splatoon's core mechanic revolves around painting the landscape to deal damage to the opposite team, whilst enabling faster movement for your own if you shift into a 'squid form'. This approach to combat constantly changes the pace of any match on a dime, and players can even hide amongst their own coloured ink to form strategies and refill their ink supply.
A unique take on how to 'do' third-person shooting, Splatoon 2 will surely have even more unique tricks up its sleeve later this year.
