16 Hotly Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2015
2. Mad Max
It feels like the delayed release of the Mad Max movie tie-in is going to completely cripple its sales, but that shouldn't make what's on offer any less enjoyable in the end. Created by Just Cause-developers Avalanche Studios it's the first game they've leant their impressive talents too outside of that franchise, but the more you think about it - the more tantalising it all sounds. In action you can tell the developer's propensity for high-octane car chases and gasoline-soaked explosions is front and centre, the game letting you play as Max as you journey across the wasteland, tackling outposts and upgrading your custom car along the way. Sure it's not some progressive or impactful narrative showcase, but it's not trying to be. As an out-of-nowhere Shadow of Mordor-esque box-ticker that reminds gamers just how much fun you can have with a stripped back story and a focus on purely tactile gameplay mechanics (Arkham's combat is in there for the on-foot sections too), it should be solid no-frills fun come September 1st.
