8. Demon's Souls - "Soldier's Trophy"

Demon's Souls, just like every one of From Software's games, is absolutely packed with secrets to be unlocked. Never one to tell the player, well, anything really, the developer hides things in their titles so well that there's a good chance you've never completed any of their games without using the help of a guide at least once.

It comes as no surprise then that most of the unique weapons in Demon's Souls require you to jump through plenty of hoops before you can get your hands on them. At the very least, the weapons will require some kind of detour or extra knowledge you wouldn't have just stumbled across during a regular playthrough in the main game.

Because the "Soldier's Trophy" can only be unlocked by collecting each and every one of the title's unique weapons (which there are plenty to find), it can get incredibly frustrating to have to juggle numerous different walkthroughs at the same time to make sure you don't miss anything during your playthrough. Just like everything in From Software's games, the developers don't even want to make getting their trophies easy.
