Achieved by 0.2% of players Civilization V is a sprawling strategy game that sees you control a nation throughout the course of history. Most of the achievements require you to play on specific map types or as specific civilizations, and are a nice incentive for experimenting with the endless ways in which the game can be played. However, there is one achievement that remains elusive. The endearingly-named 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' achievement requires you to use an American archaeologist to dig up an artefact from Egyptian territory while a German archaeologist is within two tiles of you. The probability of this happening by chance in a random game is pretty much a monkeys-writing-Shakespeare scenario. It could happen in the infinite-possibilities universe of theoretical physics, but in reality, it would take very deliberate planning to pull it off. It's simple enough playing as America, and having Egypt and Germany in the game with you, but what guarantee do you have that Germany will ever send an archaeologist Egypt's way? Really, you need a friend controlling Germany play through the many hours it takes to get to the industrial era, then have him stand idly by as you pick up the achievement. The fact that only 0.2% of Civ V players earned this achievement suggests that not too many people are keen to play wingman in such a laborious scenario.
