Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Turtles in Time is one of the best arcade beat'em ups, but is also firmly a relic of it's time. Recreating it can't be done. And it wasn't to be done here.

Ubisoft owned the license to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand, and released this paltry rehash to the Xbox 360 marketplace, in what seemed to be mostly an attempt to sucker people out of nostalgia for the halcyon days of the SNES.

Reshelled takes the classic arcade brawler and turned it into a 3D brawler. Players could now attack in 360 degrees, and so could their enemies. That's about where the improvements end, honestly.

Despite remaking the game into 3D, absolutely no attempts to improve on the combat were made. Single-button combo mashing was acceptable in the arcades, but as a 3D brawler, it feels like a dated, janky mess. It doesn't even include the original soundtrack, using cheesy sound-alikes with no soul of their own.
