15 Most Hilariously Useless Enemies In Gaming History

2. Zubat & Team Rocket - Pokémon

It's perhaps unfair to some of the competing contenders to allow this spot to be taken by more than one enemy, but the bumbling idiocies of the one accentuates the weaknesses of the other to immense levels of uselessness. For the second of this list's bat entries, it's everyone's favourite Pokémon: Zubat. But while the waves of irritating wild Zubat that halt players in caves and forests are weak, the poor saps that attack under the command of the Pokemon mafia - Team Rocket - are even more underwhelming. Wild Pokemon have a randomised move set and attack schedule, meaning there's always a slim chance that a loose Zubat could strike gold in its attempts to strike down the player's prized monsters. Trainer-owned creatures have more specific strategies, and while this would sound more threatening, Team Rocket members simply have very little attacking intent against players in the game. None of their Pokemon are ever competitively trained in the way players can, and so scarcely even get to attack first to land a cheap shot. Their strategies seem based on self-preservation over victory, and so players can always swat them aside with remarkable ease.
