15 Most Hilariously Useless Enemies In Gaming History
14. Archers - Shadow Of Mordor
In 2014 Shadow Of Mordor reintroduced a generation of gamers to the pure, untamed pleasure of slicing through hordes of hideous Orcs as the greatest Aragorn clone since everyone's avatar in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. While the game mostly does a great job of making players feel powerful enough to take on the hordes of Mordor while intensifying the combat enough to make things challenging, archers in the game just don't seem to be pulling their weight. Easily reached without detection, near enough every one in the game can be dispatched without them even seeing the player. Even when they do spot you, their threat is so minuscule that there's no urgent sense of danger. Players can allow for arrows to rain and rain down for days before the need to strike back becomes severe - nothing like what should be the case for such ruthless Tolkien-birthed killers.
