15 Most Hilariously Written Video Games Of All Time

2. Giants: Citizen Kabuto

Choice Quote: "My name is Ahmed. But you can call me Timmy" - Ahmed A hidden gem of the shiniest variety, Planet Moon Studios' 'three-games-in-one' put you in the alternating shoes of either the Meccaryns (a jetpack-sporting bunch of cockney mini-Master Chiefs), a topless spellcaster named Delphi, and the gigantic hulking monster Kabuto. The game was expertly written even if a few software bugs and saving problems hampered the overall experience, but namely due to the personalities of the three Meccaryns injecting a realistic point of view to every fantasy situation made for cutscenes that easily smoothed over the cracks. Gameplay-wise it was almost free-roaming, giving you large areas to explore and perform tasks in as all three races, but as when you'd play as either Delphi or the Meccaryns it'd be lots of shooting and spell-conjuring to get by, as soon as you switched to the Kabuto it was the nearest thing to a 3D Rampage title until War of the Monsters. Stomping on the hapless citizens of each island or just walking through encampments and munching on enemies to get your health back up, Planet Moon's dialogue throughout was consistently funny, creating a game that was actually fairly groundbreaking in its day, despite this not showing in sales figures.
