6. Asura's Wrath
Did you play or watch any footage of The Order: 1886? The crippling fault with it was a huge reliance on essentially creating a 'game' that was more an interactive cutscene, where you'd hit a prompt to get your character to speak or move in a cutscene. Riveting, eh?
It was a total borefest, but that concept of being relatively quick-time heavy isn't something that's inherently flawed - it just means your cinematics have to have so much going on, so much interaction and so much engagement that it blurs the line between game mechanics and sit back n' take it in visuals.
So enter Asura's Wrath, and an execution on overblown anime-style showdowns that Dragon Ball Z would be jealous of. Put simply, when you're hammering away at a button to fight off a character that's the size of the Earth - the only power in your arsenal being to essentially Super Saiyan-rage your way to victory - it's a stupidly memorable spectacle that'll stick with you. And that's before you get to a sword that's so long it impales a guy through another planet.
Chuck in some brawling sections that play more like standard third-person hack n' slashers whilst retaining the sky-high production values and overblown shouty mega-attacks that made DBZ so fun to watch, and for any fans of eastern animation this is essential.
