15 Most Valuable Collector’s Editions Of Video Games

1. Saint's Row IV: Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition

How much it costs: Approx. £700,000 (new) Is this the ultimate example of a consumer culture gone mad, or a genius viral marketing ad that pokes fun at its own industry? In all likelihood, it's probably a little bit of both. By offering exclusive perks in its Wad Wad special edition that have little to no relevance to the game they come bundled with, Deep Silver simultaneously mocked (intentionally or not) the ever-increasing lavishness of video game collector's editions by ensuring it cooked-up the most expensive one ever conceived. A Lamborghini, flight to space and a spot of plastic surgery are so outlandish in nature that many suspected the whole thing to be a false marketing ploy, but, like Dying Light's My Apocalypse Edition, the one-of-a-kind package was (the page no longer exists) listed on GAME as an exclusive. Developer's even swore blind that it wasn't a ruse. With the page having disappeared, one can only conclude that some bored billionaire took the plunge and bought the thing. I wonder how that day of spy training went? Are you in possession of any of these valuable collector's editions, and would you ever sell them? Let us know in the comments what your most prized possession is!
