11. Square Enix's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

This is just so ridiculous on so many levels. First off, how horribly ironic is it that one of the most stand alone American literature classics gets adapted by Square Enix and never released anywhere except Japan? It's just such an odd choice for them to make as a video game all the way around. Then secondly, this game, which should have been completely forgotten by now, is remembered by many as being a prime example of racism displayed in video games. The black character from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, named Jim, is portrayed almost as an alien with an orange fro, two white pixel dots for eyes, orange and yellow lined lips that take up half of his face, and as for the rest of him? Nothing at all. They literally didn't animate any other part of his face, but instead left it all completely dark like the rest of the screen. Sound messed up? Yep, just a little bit.
