Bethesda taking over from where the original developers left off split the fanbase in half. Either you're aware of the original two titles, The Leader and various cow-related jokes, or you're not - being many gamers most likely came in through Fallout 3 or Obsidian's New Vegas. Since Bethesda have well and truly made Fallout their own with the personality-filled newer instalments, it's over to the likes of the Wasteland games to scratch that old school Fallout itch the main canon simply never will again.
