15 Things Only Video Game Completionists Will Understand

3. Sometimes You Just Need To Know When To Give Up On A Game

It hurts to see it, but sometimes you just need to keep a game at 85% complete because that next 15% is either unobtainable or will take tremendous time and effort to get. When the options of other games start to weigh in over that, it's hard to stay and stick with a game you know will take so much more than it's truly worth to complete. Some games have hard-to-obtain online achievements, but don't have the online community anymore, thereby making them impossible to get. For me it's Dead Rising 3. I have 115 of the 118 achievements, but the last three I need are all online. They require me to play with so many different people, and finding just one person alone is next to impossible. It was a shame to hang up the game when my percentage is sitting at 98% - so close, but so far away. Still, you need to know that it's just not going to happen; it's time to move on to that next game, that next completion stat.
