15 Things We Learned From Sony's Paris Games Week Livestream
10. The Hong Kong Massacre Channels Hotline Miami, Max Payne & John Woo
Another promising indie shown off during the livestream is The Hong Kong Massacre, which is clearly drawing influence from Hotline Miami, Max Payne and, of course, the ultra-violent heroic bloodshed movies of John Woo.
It's a top-down twin stick shooter from Swedish two-person outfit Vreski, and will apparently take place in Hong Kong as the player chases down the head of a Japanese gang.
Having been in development since 2014, the game will finally land sometime next year, and if it's released at the right price point, it could easily end up one of next year's big indie hits. It looks like a bonkers blast.
