15 Video Games That Every True Gamer Should Have Completed
9. House Of The Dead 2
One of my proudest gaming accomplishments ever was successfully staying with an arcade and completing House of the Dead 2. Admittedly doing this cost a lot of money, time and effort, but my friend at the time was quite merrily drunk and insisted in constantly supplying pounds into the machine ahead of me. Who am I to object with inebriated logic? Anyway, this resulted in me finally getting past the first level and experiencing what the rest of the game is actually like. I consider this a benchmark for all gamers to cross at some point; you simply must track down this game and play it through. Not playing it an arcade is cheating (I highly recommend getting a drunk friend to help you out with this, as it can be a bit hard on the pursestrings). Everyone knows House of the Dead. It's the thing you play at bowling alleys when everyone's just taken their shoes off and doesn't want to go home yet. It's the game where you and a chum pretend to be zombie hunters armed with the latest in pistol technology and try to memorise where the civilians are so you don't actually shoot them and lose a life. Completing the game is practically impossible without spending most of your money, but it's still an experience I say every gamer should have to go through, if only to learn that arcades cost a lot of money and you could end up a penniless simpleton obsessed with beating a zombie light gun game.
