Now you might be screaming out in defiance at the idea of Warframe being included so high, and if this entry referenced the arena multiplayer-only version on launch day, you'd be right to do so. However, in a really strange turn of events, developer Digital Extremes have since gutted almost the entire game, replacing it with a fantastic third-person shooter replete with brutal melee combat that sends enemies ragdoll'ing off into the distance, alongside a Destiny-styled approach to world-visiting and upgrades that improves the game's appeal tenfold. Now it must be said as the game is free-to-play it's positively stuffed full of micro-transactions when it comes to weapon mods, costumes, armour-buffs etc. however that doesn't impact your enjoyment whatsoever, as plenty of what's buried in the menus can be unlocked just by playing anyway. If you were initially taken in by the whole 'cyborg ninjas in space' concept shown back in 2013 only to be disappointed by the lack of modes to realise this, the 'remastered' version available now is a completely different beast totally worth taming.
