11. Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy (PSP)
Sometimes you take one look at the Final Fantasy characters and all you imagine is some Dragon Ball Z-esque smash-up where all their powers are unleashed on the world in a gigantic, insanely-enjoyable battle royale. Or at least, that's what Square Enix figured fans might like for a change, and so although the original version of this came out in 2008, the remastered 012 edition in 2011 chucked in a slew of additional modes, refined graphics and a bolstered roster that makes it easily worth mentioning instead. The biggest edition - and the main reason now for revisiting this on the cheap for PSP - is the newer single-player mode, a fantastic addition that's just an excuse to play with combinations of fighters formerly resigned to fan art - meaning if you want to create a party comprised of Cloud, Tifa and Lightning fighting alongside Yuna and Zidane, feel free! On a console starved for experiences that feel at home playing incrementally for hours or days in the long run, this is one of the best on the system.
