On a mission to rescue the President's daughter, Leon Kennedy is dispatched to a remote locale in Europe and upsets a local cult known as Los Illuminados. After fighting his way through a rural farmland and a medieval castle Leon finds himself on a military island and faces off against the parasite-infected militia. After various waves of heart-pounding onslaught, things start to quieten down all of a sudden as you walk through the island's kitchen. Right in front of you a commercial oven door explodes open as flames lick the room and a raging enemy set ablaze runs towards you roaring with arms outstretched. There may no longer be a bun in the oven but there's definitely one in your underwear.
6. F.E.A.R - Descend Into Madness
The game is aptly named F.E.A.R for a reason, as getting to the bottom of some paranormal phenomena emanating from an entity taking the form of a young girl starts to take its toll on your brain along the way. Big tough soldier guy versus some little girl? You would assume no contest, well not quite, as throughout the game there is much disturbance in the world; objects being slung from bookcases along with other malevolent activity presenting itself and making you whimper. Your arsenal of weaponry accounts for nothing as you begin to descend a ladder only to be met with the silhouette of a sniggering little girl where you were just standing, she then disappears into black mist as you drop to the bottom of the ladder only to be hit with another crazed-looking fellow repeating the same action as the little girl before him. Maybe you're better off taking the stairs next time.
