16 Biggest Jump-Scares In Gaming

1. Resident Evil - How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?

Scaring the bejesus out of gamers since 1996, the undisputed classic in the art of jump-scares; the L shaped corridor in Resident Evil. Whether you chose to play as Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield there was no way to bypass this terrifying section of the game as you explore the Spencer mansion. At face value it appears to be a serene hallway giving you time to breathe after your encounters with the resident zombies, but as you proceed forward the window crashes through with a zombified dog giving chase. Legging it around the corner in a moment of absolute fear, the game cruelly breaks in another window with a second mutt vying for your throat. It was given a touch more drama and graphical fidelity with the stellar remake, but even the dated visuals of the original succeed in letting adrenaline take hold of your shaking mess of a body. Humour us with some of the experiences you've had with gaming jump-scares in the comments section below!
