16 Hardest Video Games Of The Decade (So Far)

1. Super Meat Boy

The king of the ring, undefeated champion and all-round loveable A-hole of the gaming realm; Team Meat's two-person dev team put together a cultural touchstone without even realising it - assembling one of the most mechanically proficient, charmingly approachable and endearingly long-lasting titles in quite some time.
There are no power-ups, attacks to bust out or even 3D-rendered worlds to get lost in - instead it's back-to-basics side-scrolling platforming all assembled from the ground up to test every fibre of your gaming mettle. If you somehow survive the main game's levels there's also a host of Dark World alternatives that place spinning razors and saw blades in pathways you've previously only just gotten through it the first place, but when everything's presented as lovingly as it is, you'll want to get through them at least once. Don't worry if you can't though, this game has a 0.8% completion stat for a reason. What have been your hardest games since 2010? Let us know in the comments!
