Easily the most important release of the entire year; just what the hell are Nintendo planning with the NX? One the one hand, there are all sorts of rumours alluding to a morphing controller with ever-changing face buttons that could change to mimic their entire back-catalogue of consoles and games, then on the other Nintendo themselves are talking about having a 'unique feature' that hasn't been done before - whatever that is. On the games side though, Zelda's latest reboot was always listed as a Wii U exclusive, so whatever the NX *is*, is going to determine if that's a launch title or something else entirely. A new console is all well and good, but what have Nintendo got cooped up to draw in the punters and sway them away from both the PS4 and Xbox One? A new, proper Metroid? The reveal that Zelda has always been an NX exclusive? A whole new batch of characters? No one knows, but the company holding the cards so close to their chest are providing all sorts of talking points - all of which sound positive, especially when faith in Sony and Microsoft's first-party lineups has been very shaky so far, to say the least.
