Unopened: $100-500 Used: $45 Originally the outrageous $150 at launch, Bungie's Halo 3 bundle was most likely incentivised by Microsoft. The entire launch of Halo 3 was more like a cultural event than a game release, with Times Square itself plastered in Master Chief adverts left, right and centre. Before launch, fans who coughed up the substantial asking price thought they were getting a life-size MC helmet to wear, but the reality was to store the games inside, leading to the 'cat helmet' label forevermore. To this day fans trade the Legendary Edition online for hugely varying amounts depending on what state it's in (one on eBay signed by the entire Bungie team is going for $10,000 no less), so if you plumped up the cash at launch, hold on, because a time will inevitably come where you can make that money back many times over. That's providing you can let your beloved cat helmet go, of course.
