17 Classic Video Games That Must Be Remade

3. Deus Ex

Original Release Date: June 17, 2000

The original Deus Ex is one of the greatest games ever made, a thrillingly ambitious action RPG that's nevertheless aged pretty badly from a visual perspective (but didn't even look especially impressive when it first came out), and would benefit massively from a remake in the vein of the series' newer titles.

Granted, veering too far from what made the original version such a success would be a mistake, but tweaking the undeniably atrocious enemy AI and cleaning up the clunky interface certainly wouldn't go amiss.

How Likely Is It?: After last year's Mankind Divided sold below expectations, the series has reportedly been put on hold, so it's hard to imagine Square Enix or Eidos wanting to commit resources to the undeniably mammoth task of remaking a game as huge as Deus Ex. Not likely.
