There are many great moments and levels across the impeccable Deus Ex: Human Revolution's runtime - but it's right at the beginning where you've been dying to try out some augmented limbs, only to have main-man Adam Jensen almost bite the big one and get semi-resurrected, that you get to go all Robocop on some goons. It's the embodiment of every 'wounded hero comes back better than ever' scene, and being you've just been experimented on to save your life - filling your body with all manner of fancy gadgets and tricks - come the moment the game finally lets go of your hand it's pure power fantasy time. Going in stealthy meant unleashing your hidden blades on any in your way whilst occasionally stopping to ping off a headshot with a laser-guided bullet - or you could whip out the assault rifle, make liberal use of the neat new cover mechanics and blow the digital doors off. It was up to you, but any moment you took someone out with this unique next-level tech was one of those perfect escapist moments only gaming can do so well.
