13. A Boy And His Blob
Yes, yes, eagle-eyed gamers will remember this originally came out on the Wii U in 2009, yet thanks to that system's overwhelmingly naff reception, it got about as much attention as Microsoft's Kinect. Justifiably, developer WayForward Technologies wanted another bite of the cherry, and suitably re-released it on PS4 and Xbox One.
Graphics aren't anywhere near the likes of Rayman Legends or Ori & the Blind Forest, but the art style itself is still gorgeous. Taking on a Studio Ghibli-esque look, you'll tackle a range of puzzles all centred around what form your alien pal, Blob, takes.
Feeding him jelly beans means he can be anything from a trampoline to a parachute, a bowling ball and even a mech, all of which you'll have to swap between to get through various themed areas. It's cute, it's quirky, and as lovely to play as it is to watch the Boy hug his companion (seriously, there's a hug button).
Both the boy and his blob deserve your love, especially this second time around.
