3. The Space Harrier Level - Bayonetta
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDe00vAi3hY Bayonetta was a truly weird and wonderful ode to everything that made SEGA great, featuring so many references to the company that players could barely go five minutes without running across one. It also featured a combat system that is still amongst the finest and most fluid in gaming, making the title an absolute joy to play. At least until the Space Harrier level. Now, the idea for the level itself is actually quite appealing. After all, Space Harrier is a beloved SEGA property so it makes sense to parody or tribute it in some form. Unfortunately, the appeal of the level quickly wears off as it simply lasts far too long and is nowhere near as enjoyable as the rest of the game. By the end of it all, most gamers were just glad to be back to the hack 'n' slash action that made Bayonetta such a wonderful experience in the first place.
