15. Metroid Prime 4 Is Actually Announced

Fans have been begging Nintendo for years and years to announce Metroid Prime 4, and that they finally did at last year's E3 during their livestream, flashing up the game's hastily-Photoshopped logo and confirming it to be in development, but nothing else.

That was all fans really needed to see for now, though, considering that the last Metroid Prime game hit stores way back in 2007, with only a number of middling spin-offs being released in the interim.

Metroid Prime 4 clearly won't be releasing until 2019 at the earliest, but the mere knowledge that Nintendo hasn't abandoned the core franchise despite it never being a huge system-seller is a huge comfort.
